NUVO Flute Series

Each DooD is fully waterproof so can be washed frequently with warm soapy water, and comes supplied with two Nuvo resin reeds (can also be used with Eb Clarinet reeds), a durable case, fingering chart and clarinet style mouthpiece. The brasses are wind instruments where the sound is generated by the vibration of a player’s lips against a mouthpiece. This technique is unique and characteristic of brass instruments (trumpet, tuba, trombone, horn). Is sitar a wind instrument?

The jSax is pitched in C like all other NUVO instruments so it can play along with all WindStars music. It has a fully chromatic range from middle C to G in the next octave. For beginners with small fingers there is a set of plugs (training wheels!) which can be used to help seal the tone holes in the early days of learning. We also improved the jFlute head joint by replacing the curved head with the new innovative “donut” head joint. The “donut” is a neat solution that still shortens the reach while keeping the embouchure hole in line with the keys. This helps young starters to keep the flute balanced while also making it much easier to set up the flute for each lesson. You will be surprised and thrilled by the resonant tone from the “donut”.

Alto Flute

The Alto flute is the next extension downward of the Flute in C. It is characterized by its distinct, mellow tone in the lower portion of its range.
