The Greenland Wax is used in all G-1000® products (except in the G-1000® SC products) and is made from high-quality paraffin and beeswax and melts at approximately 55°C.

Used more across the shoulders and upper areas and provides better protection and improved rain resistance. Outdoor enthusiasts swear by Greenland Wax as a water- and dirt-repellent impregnation for textiles. By applying coats of Greenland wax to your G-1000 clothing you can add layers of waterproofing to your garment. This is especially good for exposed sections of the garment such as the hood and shoulders or the knees and rear. Over time the wax on the fabric will begin to lose it functionality so we recommend that you regularly re-wax your G1000 product.

Fjallraven Greenland Wax is the ideal wax to ensure all of your Fjallraven products are fully protected. Heat: The ideal temperature for Greenland Wax is between 55-60°C (131-140°F); gliding an iron with the no steam setting using long, smooth strokes to melt the wax into the fabric. Using Fjallraven Greenland wax, a mixture of paraffin and beeswax, you can further impregnate your garments against the elements. Using high-quality paraffin and beeswax makes Greenland wax more gentle towards both people and the environment than chemical-based impregnation. Greenland wax turns Fjal Raven trousers from being about as water resistant as pajamas to something that is pleasant to wear in moderately wet weather.You can use Greenland Wax to customise the breathability and weather resistance of your garment; this is achieved by putting more layers of wax on high abrasion areas or those more exposed to the elements and less on areas where breathability is paramount.
