About this deal

Busted is a burgundy-tinted, deep brown with warm, golden undertones. It has a soft, frosted finish. The color payoff was good and the texture smooth, though a little less dense than other shades. It’s almost the same as Hustle from Naked 1. MAC Midnight Flurry is a bit more burgundy. theBalm Mahna Mahna is more intense, more red-toned. Wet ‘n’ Wild Comfort Zone is darker, as is MAC Smut.

Offering 12 highly pigmented shades, this Luxaza palette stands up to the opposition providing the warm and darker tones that the original offered while spicing things up a bit with more colorful glittery options like the Reloaded version does. Half Baked is a coppery brown with a golden shimmer-sheen. It’s very frosty but has good color payoff and a smooth texture. It’s part of the permanent range and is also in the Naked 1 palette. This shade is similar to a whole slew of others: theBalm Manic Maribel, Bare Escentuals Louder, MAC Amber Lights, theBalm Meep Meep, and Inglot #405 (and there are probably more). It wasn’t until Naked2, Naked3 and the other color-centric Naked versions came out, however, that the Naked franchise redefined the eyeshadow family as a whole. It also raised the eyebrows of color-lovers everywhere — Urban Decay’s definition of neutral was expanding. The Urban Decay Naked Ultraviolet comes with standard warm browns and beiges and then gradually transitions into loud, glittery and electric hues of blues and purples making it easy to brighten and highlight eyes in a not-so-subtle format that will have heads turning. Concerning the colors in between, Lorac in some ways even outperforms the original Urban Decay palette. This Lorac palette beats the newly released UD “Reloaded” palette in terms of color, because it offers not only peach and warm browns, but also cool toned colors such as “slate”, a silvery grey. Why This Urban Decay Palette Is Best Branded as “lemon” instead of “honey”, we find this Wishwin palette a perfect dupe for Naked Honey any day. Featuring a blend of warm browns, muted tans, bright yellows and glittering golds, these colors can help you create a unique and beautiful look at a fraction of the original Naked Honey price. Similarly, the Luxaza Purple palette offers similar benefits, though you should note that this particular palette leans more heavily on the bolder shades than it does any neutral colors. In fact, unlike the Naked Ultraviolet palette, you’ll only have one standard warm brown, a pastel yellow and a silvery gray…other than that, the rest are loud, bold and daring hues violet. There’s even a swatch of pink! There are definitely a couple of shades that stand out more - in my own palette, I find that I use Half Baked (glittery gold), Snakebite (shimmery brown), Pistol (shimmery grey), Verve (shimmery silver), YDK (glittery silver with a hint of pink), and Busted (shimmery dark purple-brown) a lot more than the other shades.

Naked is successful because it’s the palette you reach for when you say goodbye to one version of yourself and hello to your new makeup self. It’s the epitome of makeup evolution right before your eyes, and as Zomnir put it so perfectly, “evolution is, as always, the key.” To think that content creators everywhere are inspiring makeup brands is a stunning victory for aspiring gurus on all platforms of social media — Urban Decay Naked Cherry is proof that brands are listening, watching and paying attention. Want all of the amazing colors of the Naked 2 dupe and more for an inexpensive price? We thought so. After the success of Naked Original, Naked2 and Naked3, Zomnir pushed the boundaries of what we define as ‘naked’ with Naked Smoky, Naked Heat and eventually Naked Cherry. Inspired by the ever-changing makeup world around her, it was important that the Naked eyeshadow palettes kept up. “I believe that nude shades evolve,” she notes. “The ‘naked’ shades of yesterday will be different from what we will want to wear tomorrow.” answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) butConsidering that each pan is almost exactly the size of a full, single eyeshadow but costs approx.as much as 2.5-3 X single shadows would, you can't argue with the price. The double-ended brush it comes with is cruelty-free (synthetic bristles) and works nicely for patting on shadow with one end (can also use the flat end for lining the eyes with shadow); the other end is great for blending and crease definition. This is key to how the new Naked Cherry palette was created — all thanks to the constant shifts in the makeup social media world. “I always screenshot looks I like and keep them in an album,” says Zomnir. “I noticed that so many of my favorite eyeshadow looks featured ink and berry tones, done in a neutral way. So we decided to create a new Naked palette inspired by these shades, and when we saw them all together, the name ‘Cherry’ was obvious!”

To conclude, although the Urban Decay Naked palettes have been go-to eyeshadows for makeup buffs everywhere, sometimes it is nice to be able to save some extra cash and get virtually the same color selection and performance for a fraction of the price.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette Swatches, Photos, Reviews

Foxy is a pale yellowed beige with a matte finish. It’s on the sheer side and a bit powdery. On my forearm (around NC20), it’s almost invisible. It could work for highlighting the brow on light to medium complexions. It’s similar to Bare Escentuals Daydream, Wet ‘n’ Wild Comfort Zone, and MAC Brule.
