About this deal

Tsukasa finds the rain has become a typhoon, trapping him at Anzu's house overnight, which Anzu confirms is Riri's doing. In the first volume, Anzu’s life was turned upside down when a magical creature, Riri, transported her to an altered reality where she no longer had access to any of her favorite things. After recovering from a panic attack, Tsukasa confirms Yukana is his stalker, and the reason he lived alone was so she couldn't find him. But then the pair's mutual appreciation for each other really does have a sense of solidarity to it as they (for the time) stake out their exasperated insistence on romantic disinterest.

stars - I wouldn’t say I’ve done a complete 180 on the story, but I’ve at least done a 140, maybe a 150 even.I just got done with it and my cuz also is still watching and I really must know what happens next, will the stalker get her memory back? Like Tsukasa, she is very popular, and has had to deal with unwanted advances from those around her. Viz Announces Fall 2022 Book Releases Including Mission: Yozakura Family, Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe Manga, Jujutsu Kaisen Novels". I like that we are given more glimpses into the lead boy's mysterious, and obviously troubling past, and I like that the two lead boys set up as supposed 'rivals' are instead on track to becoming friends themselves.

This volume does take place within the first season of the anime though so nothing new for me happened so I read this volume veeeeery fast. Riri announces the Love Cupids have decided Anzu must choose a boyfriend before graduating high school or she will lose her games, chocolate, and Momohiki permanently. Anzu's personality really starts to form in this volume when the first she seemed more focused on losing all her stuff. He meets Anzu in a twist on a classic anime meet cute, where she is running late to school and is hit by his car.Defanging Riri by giving them a human form and letting Anzu get some payback here and there as she fights for her life is a move that I definitely needed. I appreciate the comedy in this series as much as I appreciate the underlying heart this story has going on quietly underneath everything else. So even if there's no way a story like this could commit to the potential of the aro/ace angle, depicting their genuinely healthy chemistry still comes off as an entertaining option. Anzu is cursed to not have her three truest desires: her cat, video games and chocolate until she decides to date and procreate. Junta Hayami ( 速水 純太, Hayami Junta) Voiced by: Gakuto Kajiwara [6](Japanese); Aleks Le [7] (English) The "childhood friend" that Riri set up for Anzu.

Riri as Anzu's cousins has already created some hilarious situations and I look forward to seeing how that progresses through future volumes. Takamine is, herself, pretty much ace, but a guy tries to convince her to take it slow until suddenly he doesn’t (this doesn’t shock the system, it’s super obvious). A young high schooler, she just wants to live her life surrounded by the good stuff: video games, chocolate, and her cat. also just the extra bits here and there that you don't see in the anime on netflix was far more enjoyable.

Determined to never fall in love, Anzu suffers through high school life with hot boys being thrown in her way at every turn thanks to the fairy Riri. I noticed I sort of skimmed over his parts because I just didn't care for his actions or general attitude, no matter how hard he "changed" to get to know Anzu by the end. I kind of ship her being single, BUT I'm a romantic at heart, so want her to be happily paired off, but I DON'T want the imp to win. In an effort to distance himself from women's attention, he often wears hats in public and experiences panic attacks if left alone with them due to traumatic memories.

The icing on the cake is when he randomly makes some poor boy Anzu's long-lost childhood friend who has been in love with her since elementary school but never said anything because reasons (you know, that old chestnut). The next day, Anzu's alarm doesn't go off, and while running late for school she is almost hit by the car of another hot guy; an arrogant rich one. Romantic Killer happily breaks the fourth wall to laugh at these tropes, which makes for a refreshing take on the standard formula. Our protagonist, Anzu Hoshino, would still rather be eating chocolate, playing video games or cuddling her cat than finding love, but magic (and maybe the fate of Japan) won't let her.The opening theme is "ROMA☆KiRA" by YURiKA, [3] while the ending theme is ""Romantic Love ~Renai Shimasen ka? Arisa explains Tsukasa lives alone because of their father, but she is happy Anzu is making Tsukasa more like his old self. Romantic Killer starts off strong, introducing its romance-averse lead Anzu as an extremely sympathetic center of its setup. Riri’s goal is for Anzu to end up In a relationship, and so she’s using every manga trope possible to increase Anzu’s likelihood of dating.
